It is great to be surprised by concoctions and inventions you had not imagined before, making way for new branchings of inspiration.

This is one of those creations, thank you :)

Hmm, what I learned in human and growth development class is crystallized memory. Is this what you wanted to represent? The degradation of crystallized memory as a effect of conditions that leads into dementia?

Whatever you're interpreting is fine, that's how art should be.
My concept behind this is really personal, but spreads in many different directions as well, too much to put everything in words at this point..

Now, the question I have is, is that rock candy inside is head?

Amethyst is a purple variety of quartz (SiO2) a complex crystal usually used for jewelry. I hope that helps :)

:) Yes. Originally, I was making a joke, but thank you, that did help. I did not know what type of crystals they were.

I keep thinking that, maybe, at some point, you looked at a geode and thought "hell, that kind of looks like diseased neural tissue" and just went with that all the way. Incredible imagination for this, a grand idea with an even grander execution. Easily a favourite.

Not that I believe dementia stems from rotting neural tissue, mind you, I just imagined the leap of thought :P
